What Is Thermography?
Thermography (also called medical thermography or clinical thermography) uses an infrared camera to detect heat emitted by the body. It creates a visual map of temperature differences without radiation, contact, compression, or invasive procedures.
Unlike mammograms, X-rays, or MRIs that show structure, thermography shows function—how the body is working right now. It can highlight areas of inflammation or elevated metabolic activity that may warrant further attention or lifestyle adjustments.
It is an adjunctive tool. It does not replace mammograms or other recommended screenings.
